Deniz Hayat will offer private pension service to its customers as DenizPension
The Treasury gave permission to Deniz Hayat Sigorta A.Ş for the foundation of private pension company. Deniz Hayat Sigorta A.Ş got this permission from the Turkish Treasury on 24.09.2008 and changed its title as Deniz Emeklilik (Pension) and Hayat (Life) A.Ş in the General Assembly meeting held on 24.11.2008. DenizEmeklilik is continuing its efforts to take operating license and once the legal and administrative processes are completed, the DenizEmeklilik will be ready to offer its
pension plans to its customers towards mid-2009.
99.86% of the shared of Deniz Hayat Sigorta A.Ş. is owned by DenizBank. It was first established in 1998 under the name of Toprak Hayat Sigorta to operate in life, health and individual accident insurance products; The company continued its activities under the name of Global Hayat Sigorta within Global Yatırım Holding as from 2003 and in March 2007 it was purchased by DenizBank and its name was changed as Deniz Hayat. The company’s capital was increased on June 12, 2008 and it reached TL 24,5 million.
