Internal Board

Responsible for audit, inspection and investigation within Head Office Units, branches, and subsidiaries of the Bank in accordance with the authority entitled by the Board of Directors.

Risk Management

Purpose of the Risk Management system is to ensure defining, measuring, monitoring and controlling of the exposed risks through policies, implementation procedures and limits determined in order to monitor, control and change (if required) the risk-return structure of future cash flows of the Bank as well as nature and level of such activities.

Internal Control Center and Compliance

Responsible for coordinating control functions in various units of the Bank, thus conducting an efficient and daily control over all transactions. The purpose of internal control system is to secure bank assets, ensure implementation of activities efficiently and in compliance with law, other legislation, policies and rules within the Bank. Ensuring coordination and routine reporting flow in internal control and compliance of foreign/domestic subsidiaries are performed within this duty as well.

Corporate Banking 

Responsible for development and marketing of corporate banking products in line with Corporate Marketing targets and strategies, enabling branches to sell products and services according to targets, regulating and coordinating workflows and relations between the Head Office Units and Branch Marketing Units.

Project and Public Finance and Corporate Banking Group

Responsible for providing consultancy and funding to companies for both Project Finance and Corporate Finance issues. This department provides companies the services in the following fields: 

  • Investment Climate Analysis 
  • Probable influence of macroeconomic expectations on project 
  • Sector analysis, forecasting of opportunities and threats 
  • Investment projecting, preparation of feasibility studies

    Responsible for development and marketing of corporate banking products in line with Corporate Marketing targets and strategies, enabling branches to sell products and services according to targets, regulating and coordinating workflows and relations between the Head Office Units and Branch Marketing Units.

Commercial Banking Group

Responsible for development and marketing of commercial banking products in line with Commercial Marketing targets and strategies, enabling branches to sell products and services according to targets, regulating and coordinating workflows and relations between the Head Office Units and Branch Marketing Units.

SME and Agricultural Banking Group

  • SME Banking Marketing-Small Business

    Responsible for creating mass and rapid sales opportunities, conducting activities for developing non-branch banking in order to reduce costs due to Small Enterprises, signing agreements with trade corporations and offering them special packages, developing simple credit products with high profit margins for rapid and multiple sales opportunities,  marketing Cash Management products in order to be the single bank for customers, carrying out marketing activities in order to expand SME Banking brand, preparing printed materials for launching new products, organizing meeting and seminars with NGOs in this respect, organizing press releases, sharing this process with the field.    
  • SME Banking Marketing-Medium Business

    Responsible for developing products and services in order to gain customers defined in Medium Enterprises category and to expand business volumes with current customers, restructuring existing products for adapting to this customer group, conducting marketing and sales activities by developing product packages with sector based solutions. 
  • Agricultural Banking Marketing and Sales

    Responsible for developing financial products for supporting growth in agriculture sector and meeting financing requirements of producers, as well as providing banking services to firms, institutions and corporate bodies engaged in this sector.
  • Branch Performance Management

    Responsible for assigning targets of SME Banking Group to Regional Office/Branch/Portfolio Managers and monitoring performances, organizing meetings for performances of portfolio, branches and regional offices, conducting human resources management for relevant branches, paying visits to regional offices, branches and companies, pricing and informing branches accordingly, coordinating branch opening processes on behalf of SME Banking Group, monitoring and controlling PUPA premiums.  
  • Cash Management

    Responsible for trying to enable intermediation of our Bank for payment and collection transactions realized during trading process, contributing thus to the total volume of demand deposit and income. 
  • Merchant Relations

    Responsible for determining merchant relations targets in line with the Bank’s policies and strategies in cooperation with related business lines, coordination of sales, preparation of related reports (about POS, customer productivity, active-inactive POS, turnover etc.). It also monitors domestic and foreign markets in banking sector. Development of new products, introduction of them to branches and assistance to branches on the marketing activities for the products are the other responsibilities of Merchant Relations Department.

Retail Banking Group

  • Retail Banking
    Responsible for forming and developing retail marketing strategies of the Bank, providing and reporting marketing support to branches, and introducing the Bank’s newly developed retail products to customers and employees.
  • Credit Cards Marketing

    Responsible for the development of the products in line with Credit Cards targets and strategies, designing campaigns that meet the needs of the market and the customers, contributing to the customer loyalty by appropriate marketing activities for each card programme and giving services which increase card usage and brand awareness.
  • Non-Branch Banking

    Responsible for evaluating applications to the Bank’s internet branch, ensuring smooth operation of Internet, Kiosk, SMS and GPRS Banking transactions, as well as efficient service of 444 0 800 DenizBank Call Center to DenizBank customers.
  • CRM ve Branch Planning

    Responsible for executing all CRM activities for business lines of the Bank. It also determines market research requirements for business lines, coordinates relations with related companies and shares the results, conducts feasibility and location studies for branch openings and changes of location further to evaluations.
  • Bancassurance

    Responsible for organizing sales of life and non-life insurance products in our branches, providing sales support, contributing thus to profitability of branches by increasing their non-interest, commission income.   

Retail, SME and Agricultural Credit Allocation and Foreign Subsidiaries and Branches Group

  • Retail Credits Legal Follow-up

    In order to ensure soonest collection of non-performing credit files transferred to the department, Retail Credits Legal Follow-up is responsible for transferring files to contracted lawyers as per performances of the credits and following up credits until collection, restructuring retail credits agreements in line with the changing conditions, preparing agreements of projects related to retail credits, providing consultancy services to branches accordingly.  
  • Foreign Trade Finance

    Responsible for ensuring coordination of our Bank with foreign subsidiaries and branches and information flow within the whole group.
  • Retail Credits

    Responsible for determining allocation and extension conditions of retail credit requests in accordance with the policies and strategies of our Bank and legal legislation, coordinating work flow between Branches, Central Operations and Retail Credits Allocation & Risk Management Units, assessing requested credits, notifying branches of approved and rejected credits by explaining reasons for rejecting.

Corporate and Commercial Credits Group 

  • Corporate Credits

    Responsible for examining credit requests received from branches within the process of Corporate Credits, evaluating these in coordination with Financial Analysis and Investigation Unit, having deficiencies recovered, if any. It is also responsible for putting credit requests in a form suitable for submission to related approval authority, rejecting credits not approved by the relevant Committees, and notifying back the approved requests to branches.
  • Commercial Credits

    Responsible for determining conditions of request, allocation and utilization for commercial credits, preventing all kinds of risk concentration, creating and maintaining a liquid, sound, efficient credit portfolio in harmony with the Bank’s policies and strategies, and regulating  credits-related workflows between branches, regional offices and the Head Office.
  • SME Banking Credits

    Responsible for determining conditions of request, allocation and utilization for SME and Agricultural Banking credits, preventing all kinds of risk concentration, creating and maintaining a liquid, sound, efficient credit portfolio in harmony with the Bank’s policies and strategies, and for regulating workflows related to SME and Agricultural Banking credits between branches, regional offices and the Head Office.
  • Contracting and Construction Sector Credit Allocation

    Responsible for extending credits to companies dealing in construction/contracting sector, and those included in Project Finance Department evaluation report, as well as managing the subject credits.  
  • Credits under Follow-Up

    Responsible for following-up and management of non-performing loans among Corporate, Commercial and SME Banking (Credits Group) credits. It also monitors the credits extended to companies in terms of compliance with “legal credit limits” in the context of Banking Law and related legislation.
  • Financial Analysis and Investigation

    Responsible for conducting interbank and market investigation for companies and persons designated by branches and the Head Office, and investigating bounced checks, protests and legal follow-up.
  • Legal Affairs

    In addition to legal consultancy function, this department is responsible for developing solutions to customer debts susceptible of becoming non-performing in a way suitable for both customers and the Bank.

Central Operations Group

  • Central Operations

    It is responsible for implementing all foreign trade, credit and foreign payment operations of branches, processing YTL, FX checks and bills transactions of branches, realizing their multiple YTL payments and project based account openings, making credit collateral entries, carrying out tasks with insurance companies which we act as agency, conducting operations between our Bank and our subsidiaries, and providing consultancy service in all kinds of operational issues.
  • Card Payment Systems

    It is responsible for carrying out and managing credit cards embossing, distributing, ATM and POS processes, ensuring system developments to increase service quality in card payments, maintaining customer and data security, managing customer complaints about card payment systems, conducting required projects regarding Visa, Mastercard and InterBank Card Center, and dealing with card payment system accounting.
  • Operations Support and Business Development 

    It is responsible for planning and implementing process and system development to increase service quality and efficiency of the Bank, provide know-how, guidance and documentation support for operational issues, ensuring steady and solid process in Bank archive, and replying letters and attachments of official bodies in a timely manner.
  • Fund Management and Financial Institutions Operations

    Responsible for carrying out all transactions done by Treasury Group and customer derivatives, managing nostro correspondent accounts of our Bank, providing TL correspondent service to banks, conducting management and operation of EFT and SWIFT systems, and managing Group Centers throughout the country. 
  • Investment Banking Operations

    Responsible for carrying out securities operations as well as tenders, public offers and open market operations on behalves of customers and Bank portfolio, conducting cash and securities settlement and reconciliation regarding Euroclear, CBRT, Takasbank Settlement and Custody Bank and Central Registry Agency, and to provide custody service as licensed custody bank of Deniz Portfolio and foreign branches.
  • Customer Satisfaction

    Responsible for settling and managing customer complaints within the planned time table and in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Financial Institutions Group

This group is responsible for initializing, approving, managing, monitoring, controlling and reviewing relations with correspondent banks.

Treasury and Private Banking Group

  • Treasury

    Responsible for realizing all money and capital market transactions of the Bank, controlling and monitoring all transactions made with branches.
  • Treasury Sales

    Responsible for determining sales strategies and targets of treasury products, assisting branches with sales of treasury products, establishing coordination between our branches and Treasury Group, and developing and selling qualified and new treasury products in addition to standard ones.
  • Prop-Trading

    Responsible for dealing in domestic and international markets on behalf of the Bank by making necessary risk definitions in accordance with targets and limits defined, taking liquidity of the Bank into consideration as well.
  • Private Banking

    Responsible for acting as intermediary for evaluation of savings of investors with a certain asset size through various investment tools.
  • Economic Researches

    Responsible for monitoring and analyzing economic developments, and informing the Bank’s employees and top management through periodical bulletins.

Financial Affairs Group

  • General Accounting

    Responsible for accomplishing our Bank’s obligation of financial reporting and notification towards corporate control and surveillance organs, executive bodies and professional organizations (such as Undersecretariat of Treasury of Turkey, Central Bank of Turkey, Banks Association of Turkey) and implementing general accounting practices within the framework of related regulations and procedures. 
  • Purchasing

    Responsible for centralized purchasing of good and services such as printed documents, stationery, office material and equipment, vehicles, computer consumables, checkbooks. 
  • International and Regulatory Financial Reporting

    Responsible for financial reporting made to financial authorities (Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, Central Bank of Turkey), organization and conduct of independent audit processes of the Bank and Deniz Financial Services Group companies, preparation of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and Turkish Accounting Standards, and integration of the Bank and its subsidiaries into consolidated financial statements of the parent company. 
  • Investor Relations and Financial Communications

    Responsible for enabling enjoyment of the rights of the Bank’s shareholders and ensuring communication between shareholders and top management of the Bank.
  • Management Reporting and Budget Planning

    Assisting top management in its decision making process through its financial reports, Management Reporting and Budget Planning is responsible for reporting Bank’s financials to top management, preparing the annual consolidated budget and the three-year strategic plan, and making comparisons between these budgeted figures and their actuals.

Administrative Services Group

  • Human Resources

    Responsible for recruitment, career development, promotion, internal transfer, duty change, and remuneration of employees.
  • Training

    Responsible for assessing, planning and organizing training needs of employees.
  • Construction and Real Estate

    Responsible for general modification and decoration of the Bank’s and subsidiaries’ buildings in a way to secure utmost satisfaction and comfort of employees and customers.
  • Advertising and Public Relations

    Responsible for advertising the Bank through PR practices in accordance with main targets and strategy of the Bank, and conveying Bank-related news and information to the public in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Internal Affairs and Security

    Responsible for regulating and coordinating affairs such as service vehicles for the Head Office staff, lunch, overtime and training meals for the Head Office staff, lunch tickets distributed to branch staff, works of the outsourced cleaning services, maintenance, repair, cleaning and supply works for tea/coffee automats and water machines, car parking services through indoor and outdoor parking lots, and gardening and landscape works.

Established for serving financial sector, Intertech offers Information Technologies (IT) services to DenizBank Financial Services Group. Intertech manages all IT processes of DFSG and its Integrated Banking Systems are used by other banks as well.

DenizYatırım Securities
Having the largest agency network in Turkey, DenizYatırım Securities offer products and services in capital markets investment banking. It is involved in leading public offering projects in the market.

DenizLeasing
DenizLeasing provides financial leasing services. It offers attractive financing plans to the customer portfolio of high diversity, and finances new and expanding investment projects of its customers.

DenizFactoring
Dealing with domestic and foreign factoring transactions, DenizFactoring initiated import factoring services in 2004. With its increasing international business volume, the Company has reached a wide correspondent base globally as well as alternative financing resources.

EkspresInvest
It serves foreign corporate investors for equity investment issues. This Company makes macro-micro analysis and prepares reports on regular basis for publicly listed companies as well as economic and political environment.

DenizTürev Securities
Aiming mainly at the leadership in Derivatives Exchange, DenizTürev Securities introduced opportunities to Turkish investors in derivatives exchange worldwide by involving foreign derivative markets in its service scale. DenizTürev Securities is the only brokerage company approved by the Capital Markets Board and entitled to this authorization. It offers companies consultancy services on risk management besides brokerage services in derivatives exchange. 

Deniz Investment Trust
Main function of Deniz Investment Trust is to pool stocks offered to public through Istanbul Stock Exchange and household savings, invest them in a portfolio consisting of various securities, and distribute earning obtained to the shareholders according to their share ratios. 

Deniz Portfolio Management
It conducts mutual funds and portfolio management activities. Besides, its Research Unit produces periodical and transitory reports, and offers its investors direct and objective assessment opportunities through its numerous company visits.      

It conducts all commercial banking transactions as the licensed off-shore bank.

DenizBank Culture, Arts & Publication Inc.
DenizBank Culture organizes and supports cultural activities particularly scholarly research, arts and literature. Besides, it is involved in publishing scientific, art-literature books, audio and visual cultural materials, performing acts activities, collections/exhibitions of plastic art and handcrafts, and other cultural activities. 

Deniz Hayat Sigorta A.Ş. is operating in insurance sector. It is the holder of  life, individual accident and health insurance licenses. DenizHayat provides insurance services to its customers through its main distribution channel DenizBank, PTT and its agencies.  

Foreign Subsidiaries

It provides services for reaching a large customer base in Eurozone banking market in Vienna, and offering comprehensive foreign trade financing and payment systems.

DenizBank Moscow offers all financing services to customers in Turkey, EU and Russian Federation/CIS triangle, mainly to Turkish and Russian companies, and works for gradual growth of commercial and investment relations between Turkey and Russian Federation. Besides commercial banking which is the main activity, it has an active role in fixed-return security trading and investments as well as in FX and money markets in Russian Federation.
