Why is DenizBank Virtual Card Secure?

  • DenizBank Virtual Card removes the security issues which may arise regarding the credit cards online.
  • You can set your DenizBank Virtual Card limit before your shopping and if you wish, you can reduce your limit once your shopping is completed. Thus, the use of your DenizBank Virtual Card by someone else outside of your knowledge will be prevented.
  • Since your DenizBank Virtual Card is not printed as a plastic card, there is no risk of someone else getting hold of it.
  • You can only use your DenizBank Virtual Card for transactions made online or via phone. The failure to use the virtual credit cards outside of these channels increases the confidentiality of the card information and thus security.

Points to Note While Using the Virtual Credit Cards

  • Before shopping, you can increase your available limit of DenizBank Virtual Card by using the Internet Branch to the amount you need. If you wish, you can reduce your available limit after the shopping by using DenizBank Internet Branch again. Using your DenizBank Virtual Card, you can pay for expenses you incur on international websites in TL or in USD based on your preference. As an exchange rate difference may take place in expenses you will incur on foreign websites, you need to transfer the TL equivalent limit of about 10% more of the price to your card.
  • To cancel your DenizBank Virtual Card, you need to call the Telephone Banking phone. You can apply for a new DenizBank Virtual Card through the Telephone Banking or branches.
  • Since DenizBank Virtual Card is not printed in a physical form, you cannot keep it as a real credit card. When the transaction is successful in your shopping in department stores selling online, your credit card will be blocked for the amount of the shopping you have made. However, even if this shopping is cancelled, your limit may be blocked. The reason is that the counterbank is delayed to send the cancellation order. If your limit is blocked despite having a cancelled transaction, you may call the Telephone Banking. The block on your limit will be removed after the necessary inquiry is made and counterbank approval is obtained
  • As of 1 October 2001, the Credit Card Security Code needs to be inquired by the department stores in online shopping and controlled by the banks. In some international websites, it is seen that the Security Code information is not requested. We recommend that you avoid the transactions with no Security Code information for your own security.
  • Some websites operating abroad impose restrictions on Turkish credit cards due to security. Despite having sufficient limit, if you cannot finalize your shopping with success, you first need to contact the site administrators.

Legal Information Regarding Your Credit Card

  • Your credit card is delivered as closed for your security. Following 1 day after we are informed by the courier that you have been delivered your card, your card will be automatically opened to use and you will be notified via SMS.
  • In case your card gets lost or stolen or you notice that your card has been used in any transaction that has taken place outside of your will, please call and notify 08502220800 Telephone Banking immediately.
  • You are responsible for the losses arising out of illegal uses which take place within 24 hours prior to loss/theft notification to be limited to 150 TL. This limit will not be applicable in case no notification is made and you will be fully responsible for the entire expenses. You can make sure that 150 TL which you will be responsible for in case of loss/theft is insured by an insurance company and if you wish you can call 08502220800 Telephone Banking to own this product through our bank.
  • You need to update your contact information changes within 15 days the latest through our branches, 08502220800 or www.denizbank.com. Otherwise, you may not receive the notifications.
